SYNOPSIS

Met TROIS SOUVENIRS DE MA JEUNESSE keert Arnaud Desplechin terug naar het rijke en complexe emotionele landschap dat hij eerder onderzocht in ‘Un conte de Noël’ en ‘Comment je me suis disputé …(ma vie sexuelle)’. Paul mijmert over zijn kindertijd in Roubaix, over zijn ouders, over die schoolreis naar de Sovjet-Unie toen hij zijn identiteit uitleende aan een ander, over zijn studententijd in Parijs … Maar Paul denkt vooral terug aan Esther, zijn grote jeugdliefde, die nooit helemaal uit zijn gedachten is verdwenen.
